BRIGHTEST KIND OF DARKNESS is now available!

Hey everyone! It’s finally here! Brightest Kind of Darkness is now available for purchase. I hope you’ll check it out and please spread the word. 🙂

Brightest Kind of Darkness is a dark paranormal YA  full of mystery, adventure, romance, and even a touch of horror.

Nara Collins is an average sixteen-year-old, with one exception: every night she dreams the events of the following day. Due to an incident in her past, Nara avoids using her special gift to change fate…until she dreams a future she can’t ignore.

After Nara prevents a bombing at Blue Ridge High, her ability to see the future starts to fade, while people at school are suddenly being injured at an unusually high rate.

Grappling with her diminishing powers and the need to prevent another disaster, Nara meets Ethan Harris, a mysterious loner who seems to understand her better than anyone. Ethan and Nara forge an irresistible connection, but as their relationship heats up, so do her questions about his dark past.

Brightest Kind of Darkness is coming soon!

Hey everyone! Brightest Kind of Darkenss was uploaded to Amazon and B&N earlier today, so it’s coming verra soon! I’ll be putting it out in other via other eBook outlets later. YEY, it’s coming!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m so excited to share Ethan and Nara’s story with you.

For those who’ve won my contest, I haven’t forgotten you. I’ll send your copies on to you once BKD is officially “live”. Er, that’ll be somewhere between 24 and 72 hours…according to Amazon. 😉

In answer to a few questions I’ve received:

1) Brightest Kind of Darkness is the first book in a series, and yes, BKD is a full length young adult story at 92K.

2) I made a conscious decision to indie-publish BKD because I believed in this story strongly and I wanted to share it with others.

3) I do plan to release this series in print as well.
If you have any more questions, feel free to ask them.

Best,

P.T.

BKD worldbuilding and the muse

The other day I was supposed to be working on something else (er, the paper you see is the back of another manuscript) when an idea hit me. Once inspiration struck, my purple pen had a mind of its own.

I thought I knew where my Brightest Kind of Darkness series was going, and it’s still going in the same direction but with a lot more angles and twists along the way. Here’s how an author’s crazy muse works (see picture). When the muse gets going, we have to listen. Hence the arrows and random snippets ALL over the page. Looks like gibberish, no?

Note the wide-eye(s). That’s giddiness. I’m always happy when more layers show up!
