ETHAN release date and summary

Ethan, Brightest Kind of Darkness, Novella 0.5 (a BKoD PREQUEL)*

Expected Release Date: January 15, 2013

Ethan Harris never thought monsters and darkness would consume his daily thoughts, but every night the same visions repeat in his dreams. He’s careful to project a semblance of normalcy, keeping the suffocating darkness locked inside. As much as he wishes he could focus on girls, sports, and cars like other seventeen-year-olds, nothing distracts him from his own demons or shines through.

Until Nara Collins crosses his path. The blonde fascinates and intrigues him, giving him a measure of peace he’s never felt before.

When Ethan discovers there’s more to Nara than she allows others to see, that she might have a unique secret of her own, suddenly his world comes into focus.

* Note: Ethan is a novella PREQUEL to Brightest Kind of Darkness. This story will give some of Ethan’s background and lead up until the day he and Nara talk for the first time in the parking lot about the bomb at their school.

Hi! I was so so excited about Ethan coming out and could not wait to read it (As evidenced by my previous comments to you!). I must say, I never thought I would fall even more in love with Ethan, but I have. In BKoD and Lucid, you get hints of what shaped Ethan into who he is now, but never like this. His pain and suffering, his eternal hope for something real and normal, his “parents” (like they can even be called that!)…it all adds up to a broken, lost and alone Ethan. You want to take care of him. You want to protect him and save him…from the world, from his life, from himself.

I loved this novella. I’ve loved them all. I’ve seriously considered starting a blog JUST so I could review these books! My heart hurts for Ethan. It bleeds for him. I’m anxious for Destiny, I want to know right this very instant how life will end up for Ethan and Nara. It’s like anxiously awaiting Christmas or your wedding day. A pivotal moment, as ridiculous as that sounds.

THANK YOU for creating this character. I don’t think my reading life would be the same without him! I would be honored to review anything that you do. You are amazing!

I am another big Ethan fan but I have to say that i did like the not knowing what made him tick. I know its commonplace for everyone to want to have these things explained so I knew it would happen but the mystery is always part of the appeal to me!

      Hi Kayla,

Hehe, I think I’m still keep Ethan pretty mysterious. 😉 I hope you’ll check ETHAN out. I think you’ll love getting to read his point-of-view on things, especially about Nara. 🙂
